Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-27.
This Cookie Policy explains how WEB DIRECT SRL ("TryDirect", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on try.direct.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time.
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.
- session (TryDirect) - keeps you signed in between page loads - session duration.
- csrftoken (TryDirect) - protects against cross-site request forgery - session duration.
- OAuth flow cookies (Google, GitHub) - set during sign-in via Google or GitHub - per provider.
2.2 Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics 4 is enabled with IP-anonymisation — we never store the full IP address of a visitor. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
- _ga (Google Analytics 4) - distinguishes unique visitors - 2 years.
- _ga_<container-id> (Google Analytics 4) - maintains session state - 2 years.
2.3 Third-party widgets
Some pages embed third-party widgets that may set their own cookies. The current third parties are listed on our Trust & Security page under "Sub-processors".
3. Your choices
You can manage cookies in three places:
- Our cookie banner - shown on first visit; revisit your choice via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
- Your browser - most browsers let you block all cookies or specific domains: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
- Google Analytics opt-out - install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core functionality.
4. Changes to this policy
The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance.
